Howdy! Welcome to Crisswrites.com, the website for writer, translator, editor, and all-around grammarphile Criss L. Cox. A native of Santiago, Chile with a B.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture from the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, I happen to possess a native speaker’s intimate knowledge of the language, combined with the language learner’s technical grammar and mechanics know-how. I am familiar with most Spanish and Latin American dialects and regional linguistic differences. I also am a member of the American Literary Translators Association, and the Society for Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators. Whether you need someone to translate text to or from Spanish, or need someone to proofread or edit your Spanish text, I am your gal. |

¡Hola! Bienvenidos a Crisswrites.com, la página web de Criss L. Cox—escritora, traductora y editora; fanática de la gramática. Criada en Santiago, Chile, me recibí en la Universidad de Texas en Austin con un bachillerato en literatura de lengua española, y tuve el placer de pasar dos veranos en Salamanca, España, estudiando para un máster en cultura y literatura castellana. Tengo la fortuna de combinar la habilidad y soltura del hablante nativo con la atención al detalle gramático del alumno del idioma. Conozco la mayoría de los dialectos españoles y latinoamericanos y sus diferencias lingüísticas. También soy socia de la Asociación Americana de Traductores Literarios, y de la Sociedad para Escritores e Ilustradores de Libros de Niños.
